Happy New Year! Don’t you get a bit sad when Christmas time comes to an end? I do! Eating those last sweets in January, storing boxes full of decorations, seeing your poinsettias lose their leaves like crazy… While we can’t make Christmas last longer or buy Christmas sweets all year round, we might be able to keep our poinsettias alive until next December. Seems impossible? Well, it isn’t!
It’s fall already! Colorful leaves, crisp air, blankets, coffee… And a bit of work in the garden to prepare for the cold months and guarantee a lovely spring.
Of all the chemical elements available in nature, plants only need 17. Three of those 17 are obtained from air and water, being the main elements in the synthesis of organic matter as a result of the photosynthetic magic. These three elements are carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.

Growing a plant directly on the ground is a great pleasure, but not all of us have a garden to dig and love. Pots are sometimes the only option for us. But, never mind! The variety of forms, shapes, materials and colors and the possibility of easily moving the plants around gives us a lot of landscaping possibilites. Yes, your balcony is a landscape, too.
